I'm a filmmaker and political activist dedicated to the eradication of gun violence. My work with One Vote at a Time has taken me all across the country to help elect good gun sense candidates, only to make me realize the importance of local government, and the responsibility to give back to my home, my community. I feel lucky to live here in Silver Lake, and my hope is that you do too. But there are many things we could be doing better, including sheltering the unhoused, improving transportation, and making public spaces accessible for all to enjoy. As a Court Appointed Special Advocate for the past three years, I am appointed by a judge to serve as an advocate for a foster youth, so I understand how confusing navigating the local and city government can be. It's one of my goals to make government more accessible and transparent; to show you how government impacts YOUR life here in Silver Lake, and to listen to you when you want to make it better.
